Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, today we're taking a look at the Phoenix USA QuickTrim Hub Cover. This is for trailer wheels that have an eight by six and a half bolt pattern. So this cover is going to kind of finish up the look of our trailer, make it look a little classier and sort of give us an upgrade there. It's just going to cover our wheel studs, so we'll not only have that kind of completed look or that finished up look, but it also helps to protect those from any kind of tampering. Now this is made of an ABS plastic construction with a nice polished chrome plating. And if we flip this over, we'll have several different pockets for our cover to snap in place, and the distance for these or the width on each of those little pockets is going to be about an inch and a 16th.So we'll have these little adapters that will install on the studs for our wheel and these fit a five eighths inch fine threaded bolt, and basically we'll just put that lug head or that hex head out towards our cover so we can tighten it onto our studs, and then whenever we put it in place, it'll snap down into the little teeth on the cover.
So once it's in place, it'll push that out, it's a little kind of hard to show you when it's not actually installed on a wheel, but we want to make sure that these are more or less evenly spaced as much as possible, so we can have a good hold on our cover, so something kind of like that. Again, these will go over the threads, over the top of our studs and our nuts. We don't have to take off any hardware on the wheel it's just going to thread on, on top of it and again we'll have that hex set on top. This is going to be 13, 16, so a 13 16th socket will work for these.And again, the bolt pattern that this fits is going to be eight since we have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight lugs there, and those are six and a half inches apart, center to center from the studs. As far as the outer dimensions of the cover, it's about eight and a half inches wide or eight and a half inches in diameter and then it's about four inches deep.
It will be a little easier for you to see. There, about four inches deep there, it does have a little indent in the cap. So if you wanted to put a logo there, it will allow that, that's going to be two and three quarter inches in diameter for that little indent.And if you ever want to do some maintenance on the end of your axle, maybe move up your EZ lube spindle. You can pop this out with a flat blade screwdriver to get access to that without having to remove the whole cover. If you do need to remove the cover, there's another little notch out where again, you can use that flat bladed screwdriver, pry this out and get access to those wheel studs.
The outer diameter of our adapters again is going to be one and a 16th. The thread size will be five, eight fine thread, and each of these is going to be about. An inch long. inaudible 00:03:43 can I do it for our look at the Phoenix USA QuickTrim Hub Cover for trailer wheels..

Covers look good and all parts required with instructions were included. Simple install. They don't fit as tight as I thought they would or the ones I replaced them with, which I had lost one. Have my doubts that they will stay on. Maybe if they had included 4 nuts to secure to the rim rather than 3 would be better, which is what my old covers had.

harware to attach to lugs do not fit 1/2 studs, does not specify in ordering to have correct side hardware to match stud size.

This hub cover is meant to be used with with lug nuts that would have a diameter of 1.06 inches. The only lug nut that comes in that size would be a five eighths lug nut part # 6-109. A hub cover that would work for you would be part # PXQT765BHN. It is similar in design to the one that was ordered however it only comes in black.

Bought these to replace the axle covers that came from the factory which are made from a cheap chrome steel cap, which are constantly rusting. These are made like the semi-trucks use a chrome plated plastic which holds up well and looks great!

Did a great job dressing up the ugly wheel hubs on my camper. They’ve been on for about 2-3k miles and just lost one today. Not sure why I lost it but it may have been my fault if I didn’t put it on correctly last time I had them off. For the price I’m definitely going to pick up a couple spares

Added these hub covers to our camper and it definitely improved the looks. Also now I don't have to removed my wheels to grease the bearings, simply pop thus cap off to gain access to the bearing grease point.

I was converting a cargo trailer into a one-week/year living arrangement at a large airshow and wanted to dress it up. I needed a 5 on 5 cap for the four wheels; the only place I found them was on etrailer. I bought one to ensure it was right and then three more when I verified they fit. I ordered one hub cover to test it out on my cargo trailer on Monday and it was in my hands by Thursday ... GREAT service ... including online tracking of the USPS shipment. It fits like a glove and really makes a nice trailer that I live in for a week during the giant "Airventure: airshow in Oshkosh really 'pop.' I'm ordering the other three now. The New Chrome Center Hub Caps look fabulous on the horse trailer,
etrailer promptness, excellent pricing & fast delivery is second to none.
Over past several years I’ve dealt with numerous online companies for parts for my diesel trucks, as well as upgrades & improvements on my horse trailer.

I was originally concerned hubs would not stay on because of only 3 jam nuts - that turned out to be true - lost my last hub going down the interstate - I would not recommend theses even though I bought a second set - I will now have 6 jam nuts per hub - if that doesn’t help will look elsewhere
